This beginner contemporary class infuses modern and West African dance techniques focusing on elongation, dexterity and rhythmic nuances to condition the body. Thank you for interest in our Beginners Contemporary Dance class. We are hosting these classes as a community praxis, a space for research and a fundraiser to support our new work, In De Back of God’s Eyes. Below are instructions for purchasing classes, the class schedule, location and COVID-19 safety protocols.

Steps for purchasing classes:

  1. ‘Select Individual Classes’ at your sliding scale price ($5-$50) from the dropdown list.

  2. Click ‘Sign Up’ which will redirect you to our registration form.

  3. Complete registration form (service will be added to your cart)

  4. Find your cart and purchase your class(es).

  5. If you’re interested in taking multiple classes select the ‘Quantity’ of classes you wish to take.

Please note final confirmation will be sent via email once payment is complete. If you do not receive a confirmation within 48 hours please email, maatworksdancecollective@gmail.com

COVID-19 SAFETY PROTOCOLS: Classes are masked required (please wear a KN95). We are asking participants to test before class and minimize their exposure before each class. KN95 masks & COVID-19 rapid test will be distributed.
